You may have been told that July or August is not the best time to visit Italy. This is the summer season and most Italians often go on vacation, there are less people on the streets. On warm July or August nights, you will be able to enjoy a dinner out on the sidewalks of trattorias (restaurants). The best time to visit Italian seaside is in June or September, when the weather is slightly cooler. During these months, however, nightlife often happens short as establishments close a lot earlier.

April, May and October are the best times to visit the countryside and cities, like Venice; when the smell of canals and sewers of this majestic city are contained.
