Badia Fiorentina
Just one block NW of the Bargello National Museum is the Badia Fiorentina, which is a history church.
In the picture to the left, you can see the entrance to this historic and beautiful church. It was rebuilt over 700 years ago—1285.
The Badia Fiorentina houses Filippino Lippi’s greatest work ever—Vision of St. Bernard. As you enter the church, it’s located on the left. Despite being over 500 years old, the painting is in remarkable condition. The detail is amazing.
The church reminds us of the rich history that’s present in Florence, Italy. The Badia Fiorentina dates back over 1,000 years ago. It’s the oldest monastery in Florence.
