Positano Hotels & Accommodations

Positano Hotels - Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy - ItalyVacationer.comPositano, located on the Amalfi Coast (Costa di Amalfi), has many great places to stay at. One thing is for sure, the view at these Positano hotels are to die for. Italy has many great vacation locations and this is one of them.

Below I’ve listed a couple examples of Positano hotels. There are various types of accommodations in Positano, from the luxurious to the simple and budget-friendly.

Il San Pietro

Il San Pietro Hotel - Positano Hotels , Italy - ItalyVacationer.comIt would be impossible to talk about Positano hotels and not mention the Il San Pietro (room pictured left). This luxurious hotel is located right outside of town and offers amazing views.

Il San Pietro is brimming with Neapolitan baroque décor. Also, you’ll be pleased to know that most rooms offer a terrace. It’s the perfect setting to a prefect place.

If you don’t like jockeying for beach space with other tourists, stay here. Il San Pietro offers its patrons a private beach, complete with beach bar. You’ll also have access to transportation into town—so no worrying about that.

And if you still aren’t sure about it, Travel & Leisure called the Il San Pietro the “best small hotel in the world.” Palais magazine said it offers the “most irresistible terrace in the world.”

Villa Rosa Positano

Villa Rosa Positano - Positano Hotels , Italy - ItalyVacationer.comIf you’re on a budget and want a break from a standard Positano hotel, then the Villa Rosa (a bed & breakfast) just might be for you. It’s about half the price of other local hotels, such as the Il San Pietro.

It has some great views—you could pay more elsewhere for the same view. The Villa Rosa is located smack dab in Positano. As you might expect, you’ll need to walk up and down steps.

The best views are from rooms on the first floor, so make sure you get one of these if you book a room here.

Every morning the Villa Rosa serves breakfast to each of its 18 rooms. If you’re visiting during the cooler, off-season months of November – February, you’ll need to look elsewhere as the Villa Rosa is closed.

On the left is a picture of a Villa Rosa room. As you’ll see, the rooms are nice and simple and the views are just as stunning.

There are other Positano hotels, but these two should give you a great idea of the diversity of accommodation options.

If you’ve stayed at a Positano hotel or bed & breakfast and want to share your thoughts, we’d love to hear them.
